Faith Formation

Faith formation is the foundational mission at Sacred Heart Parish School. Our goal is to empower students with the fundamental knowledge of our faith and help them apply the principles of good character to treat others the way they want to be treated.Teachers strive to incorporate Catholic values into all curricular areas and model faith commitment to the students. Religion program components include:
  • Daily prayer
  • Weekly Masses
  • Liturgical singing, including special choirs
  • School-wide celebrations on Holy Days
  • Sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion
  • Christian Service Activities, including special family events with partners such as Heal the Bay
  • Penance services during Advent and Lent
  • May celebrations honoring Mary
  • Faith formation celebrations with the greater Los Angeles Catholic community
