Extended Day Care is available for any Sacred Heart student. On-site staff coordinates this program as an extension of the school day. Children can work on homework, do activities, or play outside. Conduct expectations are consistent with general school rules. Failure to adhere to the expectations or cases involving a serious violation of school rules or persistent and willful violation of rules set out by the Program staff will result in loss of enrollment in this program.

Early Morning Day Care:  7:00 am to 7:45 am
Regular Day Care hours:  3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. On half days, day care hours are 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Note: A parent or guardian’s signature is required when picking up students.

 

Snacks: A snack and a beverage will be provided. Children can bring their own snack to eat at any time during their stay.  A microwave is available for use with staff supervision. On half days, students are asked to bring a lunch.


Dress Code: Students are to remain in their school uniform for Extended Day Care. Exceptions include “Jeans for Jesus” or other school designated “Free Dress” days.

 

Fees: The fees include after school advisors, a snack and beverage, maintenance of the facility, various scholastic supplies, and sports equipment for the outdoor play area.

 

Early Morning Day Care:  $7.00 per hour.

Regular Day Care: $7.00 per hour.

Note: Any child picked up after 6:00 pm will automatically be charged $25.00 in addition to their regularly hourly rate. If you have an emergency and are not able to pick up your child by 6:00 pm, contact Day Care at (619) 437-4431, ext. 215.

Billing: Billing is handled separately through the Business Office. An invoice is sent home monthly and due within 30 days of the invoice date. Chronic or ongoing account delinquencies may result in the temporary or permanent suspension from Extended Day Care privileges if parents have not communicated with the principal regarding their situation.
