For
homeless kids in San Diego, getting an education is often not an option. But
thanks to Monarch School in Downtown SD, homeless children in grades K – 12
have a safe place to go to school. Monarch School is also in close association
with SHPS, and as a Catholic school, we do our part by donating small
toiletries and items for kids to keep wherever it is they live. This month,
students are encouraged to donate new or gently used books for the school’s
library. Short, grade-level books like Dr. Suess and such are best. “Butterfly
Bins” are at the office and upstairs for drop-off. Thank you for your
cooperation!
